Patient

Patients and guardians use the portal to see their own appointments, bills, prescriptions, vaccinations, care plan, reports and shared links.

Who this is for

Patients, parents and guardians. Do not create staff accounts for patients.

What you can access

Patient portal access is separate from staff RBAC and is limited to the patient's own records and selected dependants. Portal routes are under /patient/...; magic login is /patient/magic-login, and first-time password setup is /patient/set-password.

Daily workflows

1. Sign in

  1. Open the clinic link or /patient/magic-login.
  2. Enter the registered mobile number and OTP. Result: if the number belongs to more than one person, Who is signing in? appears.
  3. Choose the patient profile and continue.
  4. If asked, open /patient/set-password and set a password. Tip: incomplete profiles are sent to Profile first.

2. Manage appointments

  1. Open Book Appointment (/patient/book-appointment) to request a booking.
  2. Open My Appointments (/patient/appointments) to see visit status.
  3. At the clinic, scan the self-check-in QR if available. Result: after OTP, you receive a token number and queue position.

3. View bills and prescriptions

  1. Open My Bills (/patient/bills). Result: shared invoices are visible.
  2. Open My prescriptions (/patient/prescriptions). Result: final prescriptions can be viewed and printed.
  3. Open WhatsApp prescription links from the clinic. Tip: messages should contain links, not full clinical details.

4. Vaccinations, care plan and reports

  1. Open My vaccinations (/patient/vaccinations) for the vaccination card.
  2. Open My Care Plan (/patient/care-plan) or the old Exercises route (/patient/exercises).
  3. Open Medical Reports (/patient/reports) for shared reports. Result: only final/shared output is visible.

5. Feedback, profile and privacy

  1. Open Feedback (/patient/feedback) after a visit if requested.
  2. Open Profile (/patient/profile) to update details requested by the clinic.
  3. Use /patient/privacy for access, correction or erasure requests when the R1 privacy screen ships. Result: the request goes to the clinic privacy queue.
note

The patient privacy request screen /patient/privacy ships with release R1; labels may differ slightly.

  1. Open the shared link from the clinic.
  2. Enter the one-time code if asked. Result: the document opens only while the link is valid.
  3. Contact the clinic if the link is expired or revoked. Tip: never forward restricted document links to a group.

First-day checklist

  1. Confirm the clinic has your correct mobile number.
  2. Try magic login and set a password if asked.
  3. Check My Appointments, My Bills and My prescriptions.
  4. Save the clinic contact for expired links or correction requests.
  5. Read the privacy notice.
