Specialty packs
Specialty packs tailor Achal Healthcare for dental, pediatrics, ENT, physiotherapy, mental health and other clinic types. They add clinical document templates, terminology, service seeds, modules and widgets.
Who can do this: Owner with settings.manage, clinical.template.manage and services.manage.
Where: Setup → Onboarding (/app/onboarding), Admin → Settings → Specialties & Modules (/app/system-settings) and Admin → Clinical Templates (/app/clinical-templates).

Screens for pack enablement ship with release R1; labels may differ slightly.
Before you start
- Decide which specialties the clinic actually offers.
- Add branches and departments first.
- All specialty packs are included in every plan. There is no per-pack or per-doctor fee.

The generated library contains 40 template files across 11 packs; 39 are released in R1 and the obstetric USG / PCPNDT Form F template is parked for R2 (never listed). Lab, radiology, pharmacy and hospital/IPD specialties are present as coming soon (R2 or R4) but have no released templates in R1.

Enable or change packs
- Open Admin → Settings → Specialties & Modules (existing workspaces) or the onboarding wizard (new workspaces), then click Edit.
- Choose released facility types and specialties. The first specialty you tick sets the default wording (Doctor, Dentist, Therapist …).
- Switch modules on or off. Each module shows why it cannot be switched on: Coming in R2, Needs a higher plan, or Not available for the selected facility types and specialties. Add recommended modules switches on the facility type's defaults.
- Save.
Result: the menu and screens update for everyone in the workspace. Unknown codes return
UNKNOWN_CODE; unavailable packs returnNOT_AVAILABLE. - Review seeded services in the services step.
- Open Clinical Templates and clone library templates you want to customise.
Modules are enforced by the server
A module that is off is hidden from the menu and its screens stop working (the server answers MODULE_DISABLED). Workspaces created before specialty packs keep their current set: clinical documents, session/treatment packages and home programmes. Modules you already use stay saved if your plan or facility type changes, but are paused until the plan or facility allows them again.
What changes after enabling a pack
- The navigation menu is rebuilt from modules, specialty nav entries and permissions.
- Specialty templates appear in Clinical Documents and Clinical Templates.
- Services are suggested from
serviceSeeds; existing services are skipped. - Terminology changes labels, for example Dentist and Sitting for dental or Session for therapy.
- Patient field sets add specialty history fields.
- Widgets enable tooth chart, audiogram, growth chart, body map, ROM/MMT grid and other controls.
