First clinical document
Goal and time target
Finalize the first clinical document in under 15 minutes.
You need
- Role: Practitioner or Doctor with
clinical.document.createandclinical.document.sign. - Route: Clinical Documents (
/app/clinical-documents) or/app/clinical-documents/new. - A patient and at least one active clinical template.
Steps
- Open Clinical Documents and click New document.
- Under Choose the patient, search Name, phone or patient ID and select the patient.
- Under Choose a template, search Template name, code or specialty and choose the template.
- Tick Mark as restricted (sensitive document) only when needed.
- Fill the editor. Use All normal, smart phrases and copy-forward carefully.
- Click Sign or press Ctrl+Enter.
- Click Print. Use Share or Download PDF from the print/share page when needed.
Done when...
The document status is Final or In review if co-signature is required, and it has a document number once signed.
Tips
- Drafts autosave; wait for All changes saved before leaving.
- Use Add addendum or Amend for corrections after signing.
- Restricted documents should be rare and justified.
If something goes wrong
If signing fails, fix the highlighted required fields or reload if the document changed elsewhere.
